Are you looking to start your own business or currently in the stages of creating one? WSBA’s entry level intensive education course covers everything you need to know (and more) to develop a solid foundation for a successful enterprise.
This program is for entrepreneurs just starting out. The Inspired is an individual who knows, regardless of what others think that she has a great idea and desires to start her business of on the right foot by investing their time and expertise to develop a plan for launch and success.
Our educational programs consist of hands-on entrepreneurial development, expert speakers, dynamic instructors, and complimentary resources.
The intensive educational programs meet for a total of more than 70 hours over a 6 month period of time. With those 70 hours of training you will be provided with class time, and one-on-one hands on training experience with a buisness expert. We meet once each month for 8 hours (on a Saturday), and then touch base via a one hour conference call each week.
The cost of the program is only $2,000, which breaks down to only $28 per hour of training! Financing options and scholarships are available for applicants who meet certain criteria.
2014 Schedule of Classes
The Inspired Track begins on Saturdays in the beginning of March with the following schedule:
Sessions are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and are held at Think Space Columbus. There will be weekly conference calls throughout the duration of the course to ensure students are staying on track and important questions are answered.

Month 1: Getting to Know Your Business
Apply Now!To best serve your business needs, WSBA will first learn who you are and how you work using renowned personality tests including DISc, Strengths Finder, and Life Skills Inventory. We will also help you discover your personal financial condition with the help of Apprisen, who will pull your credit score and create a unique credit improvement plan for you to follow.
Month 2: Budgeting and Goal Setting
Once you’ve received your credit score and credit improvement plan from Apprisen, now it’s time to dive deeper into your financials. We will bring in an accountant who will help you understand your financial documents (such financial forecasts, profit and loss, etc.) and how to create realistic personal and business budgets. You will also establish goals for your business and develop a funding plan.
Month 3: Researching
As a business owner, knowing where to find the answers to your many questions is vital. Whether it’s a simple question you can find online or one you need answered in order to complete a project, general research skills are crucial. During this month we will hear from experts and explore different research methods including how to use the internet and what resources are available at the public library
Month 4: Business Plan
Every business needs a written business plan to stay on track, share objectives with colleagues, and to secure potential lenders, among many other important reasons. During this segment of the intensive education track, we will help you organize and implement your very own business plan and strategy which is both effective and practical
Month 5: Marketing Plan
Everyone knows a business plan is important but what about a marketing plan? Just like your business plan, a marketing plan is a map used to document a strategy and coordinate goals. With our guest expert's help, you will create a marketing plan that will detail your target market, figure out to whom, where, when, why, and how you should be marketing, and how to put it in action.
Month 6: Sales Plan
We’ve already helped you discover the amount of sales you need in order to cover your planned budget, but now you’re in need of a thorough strategy to meet this sales goal. This final segment of the course will include a marrying of both your business and marketing plan to conclude a realistic sales plan.
