2019 WSBA 7th Annual Gala Fundraiser and Celebration

 

The 7th Annual Gala was held on October 23, 2019 at The Exchange at Bridge Park in Dublin, Ohio on October 23rd from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. This year’s keynote address featured special guest Cameron Mitchell of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants who shared with us his investment in a Culinary School at Columbus State University and his reason for launching the Budd Dairy Food Hall. Then, we heard the amazing business journey of WSBA graduate Sadaya “Dasiy” Lewis, founder of Modern Southern Table who is one of the chefs at the Budd Dairy Food Hall. We we also treated to hearing the heartfelt and inspiring stories of some of 3 Founders and WSBA program participants who shared how the WSBA programs helped them in their businesses. The 3 founders that presented are Kathryn Dougherty, Spritz Beverages , Jessica Kapusta, John and Jane’s Safe Sauces, and Tizzie Nuss, The Spark Project.

We’d like to thank our Emcee this year, Angela An, news anchor at WBNS 10TV. The Exchange at Bridge Park did a wonderful job taking care of our event and our guests with delicious food and service by Cameron Mitchell Catering.

Thanks to the generous donation and sponsorships we were able to raise just shy of $50,000. Your support was overwhelming. You are helping us empower women to launch and grow their business. We can now help more women each year with additional programs and increase the depth of our programming. Thank you so much!
